I was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, and I have also spent various amounts of time living in Barcelona, Spain; San José, Costa Rica; McMinnville, Oregon; Sevilla, Spain; Logroño, Spain; and now Muros, Spain. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Spanish and International Business with a minor in Africana Studies. I am currently working as a Language and Culture Assistant through the Auxiliares de Conversación program in Muros, Galicia, Spain.
I have spent the past year on a quest to cultivate self-love and joy. This effort has led me to do some things I never thought I’d do, to name a few: teaching preschool, completing my TEFL certification, gaining ~15 pounds of muscle through weightlifting and diet change, sharing my writing and poetry publicly, and moving abroad again. On my journey of figuring out this life, I have discovered that writing, travel, and fitness are each essential to my happiness. I fully believe that sharing these things, although a vulnerable act, will only increase that happiness, and hopefully spread a little along the way!
